Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster promoting world Peace / Мир and international Friendship / Дружба featuring a great design depicting determined young people from around the world wearing their traditional dress from various countries, holding their hands up together in front of the globe with the USSR highlighted in red on the map at the top, the text in bold lettering above the raised hands. The idea of internationalism was used by the Soviet Union to promote their ideologies amongst the variety of ethnic groups living in the USSR, as well as their friends and allies worldwide. Horizontal. Good condition, tears on edges, creasing, pinholes.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
