Original vintage German motivational workplace poster issued by the Parker-Holladay company in Berlin featuring an illustration of a worker reading the sports pages of a newspaper in an industrial factory with the quote on the black background - Das gehort nicht in die Arbeitszeit! Doval / That doesn't belong during the working hours! Parker-Holladay issued this series of posters to promote the correct work ethic in the workplace creating Doval as the equivalent of Bill Jones in the UK. The concept was copyrighted and taken to the USA and Canada motivating personnel to perform efficiently worldwide. Good condition, tears in margins, minor creasing, small paper loss in the left margin.

Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
