The March Pearsons Magazine Belle Epoque
Original antique advertising poster for the March issue of Pearson's - the 8 cent magazine. Fantastic Belle Epoque style illustration by the American artist Ernest Haskell (1876-1925) depicting a fashionable young lady wearing a red dress and hat and holding a muff in one hand and a copy of Pearson magazine in her other hand as she walks towards the viewer along a country path, the title above in stylised red and yellow letters and the price below. Pearson's was a monthly magazine founded in 1896 by the notable British publisher Sir Cyril Arthur Pearson (1866-1921), running until 1939; the US version ran from 1899-1925. Printed by H.A. Thomas & Wylie Litho. Co. N.Y. Very good condition, minor restored tears and loss on margins, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
