Original vintage Soviet film poster for the USSR release of the Academy Award winning 1958 American drama The Defiant Ones under the title Bound With One Chain directed by Stanley Kramer and adapted by Harold Jacob Smith from the story by Nedrick Young (originally credited as Nathan E. Douglas) about two escaped prisoners - one white man and one black man - who are shackled together and must co-operate in order to survive ("They couldn't like each other less. They couldn't need each other more."), starring Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
