Original vintage advertising poster for Basle Swiss Industries Fair from April 2nd to 12th 1932 - Information from Consulate General of Switzerland New York Swiss Federal Railroads New York. Dynamic industrial photomontage design by Robert Spreng (b 1890) featuring a black and white photo of Basel Cathedral over a view of the city and its river from the sky with planes and a zeppelin flying overhead and the title text diagonally above and below in red and white, the information text on the side with a stamp By Courtesy of Cunard Line below. Good condition, minor repaired tears and paper loss on margins, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
