Original vintage protest poster - Speak Out For Those Who Can't March for Soviet Jewry Solidarity Sunday Greater New York Conference (212-254-1316) Supported by the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York and The Federation of Jewish Philanthropies - held on 29 April 1983 at 12 noon on 56th and 5th Street to 47th and 1st Street featuring a dynamic design depicting a policeman wearing a hat and gloves with a Soviet red star on his coat grabbing a Jewish person across his mouth, the man wearing a Star of David necklace looking at the viewer in surprise as he drops his placard, with a crowd and a blue and white Israeli flag flying behind another military person holding a gun with the domes and spires of St Basil's Cathedral next to the Moscow Kremlin on Red Square visible in the background, the bold text in red above and information below. Solidarity Sunday was also known as Freedom Sunday or Freedom Day. Good condition, creasing, tears, staining.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
