Original vintage movie poster for the French release of the award winning classic Soviet science fiction film Solaris - in response to Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey - based on Stanislaw Lem's 1961 novel of the same name, directed by the Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky (1932-1986) and starring Donatas Banionis, Natalya Bondarchuk, Juri Jarvet and Anatoli Solonitsyn with cinematography by Vadim Youssov. Great artwork depicting a man holding the ghostly shape of a lady with long flowing hair inside a colourful bubble with a space station above the stylised title text in bold yellow lettering against the dark background below. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
