Original vintage Soviet poster - Service Dog Breeds Chart 2 - showing five different breeds of dog with information on each dog breed in the centre: a Moscow Watchdog, a Scottish Shepherd (Collie), an Airedale Terrier, a Rottweiler and a Moscow Water Dog. Bred as a water lifesaving dog by the state operated Red Star Kennels after WWII, the Moscow Water Dog / Moscow Diver dog proved to be unsuccessful as a working dog and is now extinct; the Central Military School of Working Dogs developed specially bred dogs for the Soviet armed forces and as working dogs. Horizontal. Excellent condition, minor creasing at top edge.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
