Original vintage Soviet science fiction film poster for the movie directed by Aleksandr Surin Return from Orbit / Возвращение с орбиты about an accident on a space station caused by meteors that injured the commander who must return to earth immediately. Colourful sci-fi design depicting black and white images of two of the main characters in space suits with red, blue and white silhouettes of cosmonauts / astronauts working on a rocket in the background and a lady in a star shape on the side, the stylised title text below. Some scenes were filmed at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre / Центр подготовки космонавтов имени Ю. А. Гагарина and RKA Mission Control Centre / Центр управления полётами near Moscow and in orbit on the Salyut 7 space station and Soyuz T-9 spacecraft by cosmonauts Vladimir Lyakhov (1941-2018) and Aleksandr Aleksandrov (b.1943). Good condition, restored paper losses in margin, restored creases, restored tears, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
