Stunning technical cut-out design of the plane flying over islands against the blue sea background, the detail inside the plane depicting passengers and crew members in different sections of the aircraft including the cockpit, kitchen and lavatories, midship cabin and after cabin with the mail, freight and baggage hold, all described with the various components of the plane fuselage, wings and engines referenced in small text, the title above and below. Formed in 1934 Qantas Empire Airways QEA (the flag carrier of Australia Qantas was founded in 1920) and Imperial Airways (founded 1924; now part of British Airways since 1974) flew flying boat services from 1935-1943. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
