Original vintage World War Two Canadian home front factory aircraft production propaganda poster - This, Means D-E-L-A-Y / This - Victory - featuring a split-panel graphic design with a sketch of an agitator or saboteur standing on a platform, raising his fists to disrupt a crowd of factory workers on the left, contrasted by a massive squadron of dark Allied fighter planes soaring into a clear blue sky from aircraft manufacturing hangars below on the tarmac. Prepared and published under the auspices of the Advertising & Sales Club of Toronto and distributed under the authority of the Director-General of Aircraft Production. Donated to Canada's War Effort by Fleet Aircraft Limited, Fort Erie, Ontario. Printed by Sampson-Matthews Limited in Toronto. Horizontal. Good condition, repaired tears, creasing, minor staining, repaired pinholes, backed on old linen.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
