Original vintage World War Two public information propaganda poster featuring the iconic quote - Never was so much owed by so many to so few - delivered by Prime Minister Winston Churchill during his tribute to the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in August 1940. The poster features a black-and-white photo-montage of five smiling, heroic RAF pilots standing in uniform, goggles, and helmets, with white lettering set against a cloudy sky. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Lowe & Brydone Printers Ltd., London. Good condition, repaired tears, folds, staining, backed on cloth.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
