Soviet Tourist South Urals Hiking USSR
Original vintage Soviet travel poster for the South Urals issued by Turist and the Central Bureau for the Implementation of Tourism and Excursions featuring a fun and colourful illustration of a lady holding a hiking stick standing in front of trees and flowers on green grass hills with her dog supporting her heavy backpack, the description below reading: Having made a trip along this route, you will feel the charm of the Ural forest, the virgin beauty of lush nature and the aroma of healing air. You will see the land where the romance of legends and fairy tales are intricately intertwined with the reality of the new, modern life. Your first hospitable refuge is the Ilmenskaya tourist centre located on the shore of the lake of the same name, 110 km from Chelyabinsk. The route is a 152km long hike along the mountainous part of the Southern Urals and the places of the Pugachev Uprising. During the hike tourists will visit Zlatoust, the city of the famous bulat steel factories on Lake Turgoyak, the most beautiful in the South Urals. Three days are devoted to rest in Chelyabinsk where an interesting excursion programme awaits tourists. The duration of the stay on the route is 18 days. Permits for this and other routes can be purchased at tourist and excursion organisations in your city or region. Good condition, creasing, tears, staining.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
