Original vintage travel advertising poster celebrating the annual Fiestas y Romeria de Nuestra Senora de la Cabeza / Festivities and Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Cabeza in Andujar Andalusia Spain held on 26-28 April 1957 featuring a colourful design by the Spanish artist Ricardo Anaya Gomez (1913-1981) depicting the celebration of Andalusian folklore, a couple in regional dress riding a horse with flamenco dancers in traditional dresses, one wearing a green and white polka dot dress and the other a bright red dress holding flowers in a basket, a procession of pilgrims behind a man dancing with the historic 13th century Basilica y Real Santuario de Nuestra Senora de la Cabeza / Basilica and Royal Sanctuary of Our Lady of Cabeza visible on a hill in the distance, set on a yellow background with the bold stylised title text below. Printed in Spain by Lit. Jose Ma Ventura Hita, Granada. Good condition, large restored tears, restored paper loss on right edge, restored folds, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
