North South Holland Tramway
Original antique travel advertising poster for the Per Noord Zuid Holl Tram / North South Holland Tramway to promote routes to the coastal seaside resorts Noordwijk and Katwijk and the historic flower growing villages Sassenheim, Lisse, Hillegom, Beverwijk and Limmen, featuring an Art Nouveau design showing the roads, railways, waterways, fields and built up areas along the Dutch coastline on an aerial map running from Alkmaar through Haarlem and down to Leiden with the tram network highlighted in red, a colourful vignette of men on a traditional canal barge transporting flowers by fields decorated with blooming pink, orange and red tulips on the frame below, and an small illustration on the left depicting a scenic view of holidaymakers enjoying the beach and promenade with flags flying on the seaside resort buildings, the bold stylised title lettering above and rest of the text on the image, all within an elegant frame with yellow daffodils on the sides. Good condition, creasing, staining, restored tears, small paper losses, backed on old linen.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
