North-South Holland Tramway
Original antique travel advertising poster for the Per Noord-Zuid-Holl. Tram / North-South Holland Tramway, promoting routes to the coastal seaside resorts Noordwijk and Katwijk, and the historic flower-growing villages Sassenheim, Lisse, Hillegom, Beverwijk, and Limmen. The detailed Art Nouveau design features an aerial map of the Dutch coastline running from Alkmaar through Haarlem and down to Leiden, with the tram network highlighted in red, the lower portion includes a colourful vignette of blooming tulips next to a traditional canal barge transporting flowers through the fields, an inset illustration on the left depicts a bustling, scenic view of holidaymakers enjoying the seaside resorts, with elegant Art Nouveau frame holding the image together. Good condition, creasing, staining, restored tears, small paper losses, backed on old linen.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
