Founded in 1905 Pioneer was a long distance, transcontinental coach operator (originally the AA Withers Bus Company; renamed in 1923). The development of the infrastructure along the Stuart Highway from 1940 and during the war, opened up more tourism coach routes through the remote Australian interior and the MacDonnell Ranges offering safer travel. Good condition, staining, foxing, restored pinholes, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
