Original vintage French train travel poster published by the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée PLM railway and the Chemins de Fer de la Tunisie C.F.T., titled Tunis La Blanche, promoting seasonal travel to Tunisia in North Africa. The poster captures the sun-drenched architecture of the Mosquée de Sidi Youssef with its octagonal stone minaret and green-tiled rooftops rising majestically against a warm, peach-toned sky, silhouettes in traditional robes strolling past an elegant, open-air portico supported by vibrant, spiralled columns in the historic Tunis medina. Bold lettering along the top and bottom borders highlights the ease of connection from France, advertising the journey of 36 hours from Marseille by sea or 6 hours from Antibes by air, promoting the winter travel season from October to May. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
