Original vintage travel poster published by Alaska Airlines promoting the scenic polar regions of the far north, featuring a stylised illustration showcasing indigenous Southeast Alaskan Native heritage and tribal culture, featuring a prominent Indigenous leader or chief clad in a traditional, intricately patterned Chilkat blanket and ceremonial headdress, flanked by a group of tribal members standing before a vibrant totem pole. Founded as McGee Airways in 1934, the company had undergone a series of financial struggles and mergers until it finally adopted the name Alaska Airlines in 1944. What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
