Original vintage French Railways train travel advertising poster for the Loire Valley castles and motor car tours - Chemins de Fer de Paris a Orleans Usse Les Chateaux de la Loire Circuits Automobiles - featuring a stunning view by Constant Duval (1877-1956) depicting a hunter in a red jacket on a horse with hunting dogs and a person in a hat carrying a woven basket walking along the path with a stick in front of the historic Chateau d'Usse (aka the Sleeping Beauty castle) in front of trees of the Chinon forest with the text on the margin above and below. Printed by Chaix, Paris. Good condition, restored tears, restored creasing, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
