Original vintage travel advertising poster - UAT Aeromaritime dans touls les ciels d'Afrique et d'Orient / in all the skies of Africa and the Orient - featuring a striking design depicting a black and white photograph of an air stewardess in a smart uniform pointing to a route map on a globe of the world in yellow and blue with the airline routes marked in red and a photo of a propeller plane flying above, the title in bold letters with red stars below. Based in Paris the French company Union Aeromaritime de Transport UAT was founded in 1949; it merged with Transports Aeriens Intercontinentaux TAI to form Union de Transports Aeriens UTA in 1963. Good condition, creasing, tears, pinholes, staining.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
