Original vintage poster Australia Land of Tomorrow featuring colourful design by Joe Greenberg (1923-2007) depicting a rural setting with a man riding a horse approached by a man on a tractor, with yellow flowers, white sheep, clothing drying on a clothesline, a windmill, and purple and blue sky above a pink house. The poster was produced by the Department of Immigration circa 1948 and displayed in Displaced Persons camps in Europe, promoting immigration to Australia. Printed in Australia and Issued by the Commonwealth Department of Information. Good condition, restored paper losses on edges, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
