Original vintage seaside travel advertising poster published by British Railways to promote the Prestatyn Holiday Camp Luxury All-In Holiday on the N. Wales Coast. Colourful artwork featuring people relaxing under beach umbrellas and walking in front of the holiday camp pavilion and tower inside a stylised yellow sun surrounded by smaller images depicting some of the activities and sports available at the camp, including dancing, sunbathing, hiking, table tennis, horse riding, golfing, tennis and swimming with the title above in white and yellow letters and the rest of the text below with the British Railways logo. Artwork by Percy Drake Brookshaw (1907-1993). Built for Thomas Cook and the LMS railway, the seafront Prestatyn Holiday Camp (1939) also known as Tower Beach was located in the Irish Sea resort town of Prestatyn in North Wales in Denbighshire. The new family holiday camp was used as a military camp during WWII and bought by Pontins in 1975; in 1984 the camp closed and the site was eventually cleared in 2001. Very good condition, restored folds, staining, small defects in margins, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
