Original vintage Soviet anti-colonial propaganda poster - Hold the Colonisers to Account! / Колонизаторов - к ответу! - featuring a dynamic design by Vadim Volikov (1927-1989) depicting three men from Africa, the Middle East and the Soviet Union striding forward, one gripping the collar of a Western soldier holding a dagger dripping with blood, his military helmet labelled Colonisers, and another holding up a placard with the bold black and red title text in stylised lettering diagonally above and protest placards in English, Russian and Arabic in the background relating to the 1960-1965 Congo Crisis and the 1961 assassination of the politician and independence leader Patrice Lumumba (1925-1961; Prime Minister 1960), including the slogans in English - We Mourn for Lumumba Africa Must Live Remove Hammarskjold. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
