Original vintage advertising poster for the Swiss clothes brand PKZ featuring a fun image by the notable Swiss graphic designer and children's book illustrator Alois Carigiet (1902-1985), depicting a rooster wearing a smart suit jacket, white gloves and a polka dot bowtie with a flower in his pocket. The family run fashion retailer PKZ was founded in 1881; the company is known for its advertising posters by Swiss artists; Carigiet created several animal-themed posters for the brand. Very good condition, backed on old linen, framed.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
