Original vintage Soviet cinema poster for the 1929 release of the American silent drama Проект инженера Стронга / Engineer Strong's Project, originally released in the US as Not for Publication in 1927, directed by Ralph Ince and distributed by Sovkino. The poster designed by the legendary avant-garde artist duo the Stenberg Brothers (Vladimir and Georgii Stenberg), features a dramatic illustration of a man gripped by panic or anger as he speaks on a telephone, with a handgun set against a deep navy blueprint background, the top margin features the movie's title in yellow, with production credits alongside the official circular logo of the Sovkino studio on the bottom margin. Good condition, repaired tears, paper losses on edges, staining, backed on Japanese paper.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
