Original vintage Soviet cinema poster advertising the silent film The Wandering People / Бродячий Народ / Dəjdь Xalqlar, released as an episodic Kino-Roman film novel. The striking avant-garde constructivist composition depicts a sophisticated lady in an elegant dark blue gown under a luxurious black coat trimmed with white fur collar, below her are two men, dressed in a suit and a hat, with the other is dressed in an ornate red and gold embroidered vest with a plumed, feathered headpiece, gathered around a glowing, oil-style table lamp next to a dark wine bottle. Uzbekgoskino Uzbek State Cinema Committee logo in the bottom right corner. Printed by Tipo-Litografiya No. 2, Tashkent. Good condition, folds, repaired tears, staining, creasing, backed on old linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
