Original British quad movie poster for the 2010 re-release of the iconic silent film Metropolis - Reconstructed & Restored The 1927 Science Fiction Masterpiece by Fritz Lang - featuring a striking Art Deco style design by the notable Russian artist Boris Bilinsky (1900-1948), originally created for the 1927 French release poster, featuring the towering buildings, bridges and skyscrapers in a futuristic sci-fi city skyline with the title text as bold red and white letters integrated into the architecture and the rest of the text above and on the side. This poster promotes the critically acclaimed "Reconstructed & Restored" version of this groundbreaking expressionist film by the notable director Fritz Lang (1890-1976) that incorporated over 25 minutes of previously lost footage rediscovered in 2008. Horizontal. Good condition, creasing, repaired tears, minor staining, printed on both sides for use in a backlit display.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
