BEA British European Airways Luggage Porter

Original vintage advertising poster for BEA British European Airways featuring a charming and whimsical mid-century design of a jovial, moustachioed airport porter with a pipe in his mouth, wearing a blue uniform and cap, complete with a pair of white feathered wings attached to his back, captured mid-stride running through the air with a goose under his arm whilst pushing a luggage trolley piled high with diverse cargo, including wooden crates, woven baskets overflowing with fresh flowers and fruits, and a pair of curious cockerels peering out, superimposed with an outline of a twin-engine commercial airliner set against a soft pink and blue gradient sky dotted with stylised clouds, with bold open block-letter BEA logo with a blue winged key emblem alongside flowing red script that reads British European Airways. BEA was a British airline operating services within the UK and to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East from 1946 to 1974 when it merged with BOAC to form British Airways.  Printed by Menaglia, Rome.
