Original vintage Soviet travel and film advertising poster for the UNICA-78 International Congress and Film Festival of Amateur Films / Международный конгресс и кинофестиваль любительских фильмов held in Baku USSR from 21-30 September 1978 featuring a silhouette of a filmmaker using a vintage movie camera in the foreground, a view of the lamps and trees on the Baku Boulevard seafront promenade and the iconic 12th century Maiden Tower / Qız Qalası historic monument visible prominently between flowers blooming on the branches of tree below an elegant decorative blue and gold archway, the text and date in Russian and English on the water and on the border below. Funded in 1937 l'Union Internationale du Cinema (UNICA) organises the UNICA Festival annual international non-commercial and amateur film competition and congress. Very good condition, minor creasing, minor staining, small tears.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
