Original vintage advertising from a back cover of the rare Soviet Travel magazine. Drink Soviet Champagne! - featuring a great illustration of a large bottle of semi-dry champagne / Советское Шампанское полусухое with a red streamer over the bottle and elegant couples dancing under falling confetti set over a dark shaded background, the bold title below and text in gold lettering on the side - Peoples Commissariat of the Food Industry Chief Administration of the Wine Industry. The reverse features information on subscriptions to newspapers and magazines from Mezhdunarodnaya Kniga for 1941. Good condition, creasing, paper skimming, paper residue on reverse, staining, double-sided, pencil marks.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
