Original vintage cabaret show 15 sheets grand format billboard advertising poster featuring a fantastic design by the notable graphic artist Rene Gruau (Renato de Zavagli; 1909-2004) to promote the Avec Plaisir! / With Pleasure! cabaret show at the famous Parisian nightclub Lido, created by Pierre Louis-Guerin and Rene Fraday and directed by Donn Arden with costumes by Folco. The poster features a glamorous, singing showgirl draped in dramatic, voluminous black feathers and elegant pearl strands, standing behind a massive red banner that highlights the word LIDO in bold white block capitals, with a small chimpanzee looking up toward the performer. Horizontal. Very Large size. Good condition, folds, creasing, tears, minor staining, poster comprised of 15 sheets.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
