Mountains run close to its 400 miles of beautiful coastline. Inland, a mild climate and rich soil combine to produce excellent crops of maize, wheat and barley. Tobacco can be cultivated - fruit and vegetables abound. There is grazing for sheep, and pigs are plentiful. So the fortunate peasants of Yugoslavia are, in normal times, an easy going and contented race. Their costume reflects a life of simple luxury. The graceful, long white dresses of women are sensibly protected with coloured aprons. Gaily printed handkerchiefs adorn their heads, and few venture fat without shawls made of thick, soft, lamb's wool. The men like woollen waistcoats, sometimes wearing two or three - the outer one, a kind of bolero, is often attractively patterned. Issued by the International Wool Secretariat. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-sheets-root=\"1\"\u003eFair condition, creasing, tears, staining, fold.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"AntikBar","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47445297856761,"sku":"PA3742","price":250.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0728\/7613\/0553\/files\/PA3742.jpg?v=1771944644","url":"https:\/\/antikbar.co.uk\/products\/pa3742-wool-in-national-dress-yugoslavia","provider":"AntikBar","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
