Finmar Fair Liberty Zero Midcentury Modern
Original vintage advertising poster for the Liberty Finmar Fair exhibition held at the department store in London from 9-25 October on the Fourth Floor featuring a great mid-century design by the notable graphic designer Zero (Hans Schleger; 1898-1976) of white and yellow brush strokes forming the shape of a tree on a black background with small decorative stars and the bold title text below, the L for Liberty also made up of small stars. Organised by the importer of Nordic design, the annual Finmar Fair was a promotional event held at Liberty's in London during the 1960s showcasing modern Scandinavian furniture, textiles, glassware and other contemporary pieces, including those by the Finnish architect and designer Aalto (Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto; 1898-1976). Good condition, restored paper loss in top right corner, restored tears, creasing, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
