Original vintage motorsport advertising poster for the Aintree Daily Telegraph Motor Cycle Racing Including Sidecars event held on the Aintree Motor Racing Circuit at the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool Merseyside on Saturday 25th September, organised by the North Western Centre of the A.C.U. (Auto Cycle Union; founded 1903). Great design featuring a dynamic image of a motorcyclist riding at speed on a motorbike numbered 11 on a green background, the bold title text above and on the side with the information on the admission costs and parking bookable in advance or on the day for car and motorcycle entry below - Tickets and full details from the Aintree Automobile Racing Co. Ltd., Aintree, Liverpool 9. The first Aintree International handicap race meeting was sponsored by the Daily Telegraph newspaper (founded 1855), and held on 25 September 1954. Good condition, creasing, small tears.

Are your posters originals?

All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity. 

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
