Original vintage art exhibition poster for Hommage A Diaghilew / Tribute to Diaghilev held at the Musee Galliera museum 10 Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie Paris from 23 June to 3 September 1972 featuring artwork by the notable Spanish artist and sculptor Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) titled Costume pour Parade / Costume Design of the Chinese Parade 1917 featuring a figure with his hair in a long plait, wearing a hat and a colourful red and yellow outfit with sun beam rays and a stylised black and white on the front of the tunic jacket on a white background, the title text below and information above. This exhibition was inspired by the notable Russian art critic, patron, ballet impresario and founder of the Ballets Russes (1909-1929), Sergei Diaghilev (1872-1929). Good condition, creasing, staining.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
