Original vintage advertising poster for an Art Nouveau Ackermann Calendar / Jugendstil Plakate Ein Ackermann Kalender 1969 featuring a great design depicting an elegant lady in a fashionable red dress with feathers in her stylish hat set on a gold background, a Zlata Praha newspaper tucked under her arm with the stylised lettering on side margin and below. Founded by the notable poet Vitezslav Halek (1835-1874), the illustrated Czech magazine Zlata Praha / Golden Prague was a literary publication issued from 1864-1865, then from 1884-1929 by the publishing house run by Jan Otto (1841-1916). Prager Zeitung / Prague newspaper Collection of the Baden-Wurttemberg State Trade Office. Good condition, creasing, tears, pinholes, staining, paper skimming.

Are your posters originals?

All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity. 
What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
