New Gulliver USSR Puppet Animation
Original vintage movie poster for a Soviet film The New Gulliver / Новый Гулливер / Novyy Gullivyer based on the 1726 classic novel Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. Great image of the boy Gulliver / Pioneer Petya looking out to the viewer with a fun scene from the film below showing a clock tower with horoscopes on the face, characters above and one held up by the clock hand. This was one of the first stop motion feature length animated cartoon with puppet animation that runs almost throughout the whole film (beginning and ending with short live action sequences); it was released in 1935 to widespread acclaim that earned the director Aleksandr Ptushko a prize at the International Cinema Festival in Milan. Good condition, restored minor loos and tears, backed on linen.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
