Original vintage advertising poster for the Museums of British Transport in Clapham displaying the largest collection of road and rail vehicles ever assembled, the first railway museum in York exhibiting some of the earliest locomotives in existence and the newest railway museum in Swindon displaying the thrilling story of the Great Western Railway (GWR). Great design by the notable graphic designer Zero (Hans Schleger; 1898-1976) featuring a black and white drawing of a steam train at the top and the museum headings as train station name plaques with the information below against a striped yellow background. Good condition, folds as issued, tears, creasing, pinholes.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
