Original vintage advertising poster for Watusi in the Frenzy cabaret show performance with the 40 Doriss Girls and dolphins in the giant aquarium at the Moulin Rouge in Paris the most famous French Cancan in the world / Moulin Rouge Watusi dans Frenesie les 40 Doriss Girls les dauphins dans l'aquarium geant et toujours les plus celebre French Cancan du monde featuring a great pin-up style design by the notable graphic artist Rene Gruau (Renato de Zavagli; 1909-2004) of the silhouette of a dancer wearing sparkly jewellery and feathers in white looking out towards the viewer against the black and red background with the stylised red lettering above and below. Watusi Mehant was a dancer and singer from Brazil who performed at the Moulin Rouge nightclub in c.1978-1979. Good condition, folds, creasing, minor staining.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
