Mimino 1977
Original vintage movie advertising poster for the 1977 comedy film Mimino by Soviet director Georgiy Daneliya produced by Mosfilm and Gruziya-film, starring Vakhtang Kikabidze, Elena Proklova, Yevgeny Leonov and Frunzik Mkrtchyan, director of photography Anatoliy Petritskiy. The Soviet era comedy won the 1977 Golden Prize at the 10th Moscow International Film Festival. Mimino translates as falcon from Georgian. The minimalist graphic design features the profiles of two men, the taller man carrying a car tyre and both wearing flat cap hats standing the foreground, an air hostess walking towards them, set in a blue and purple shaded swirl with the title in black across the top. Very good condition, minor tear.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
