The Italian shipping company Home Lines was founded in 1946 operating ocean liner and cruise ship passenger services from its base in Genoa; the company merged with Holland America Line in 1988. The SS Atlantic was built in 1927 and served Home Lines from 1949-1954; she was scrapped in 1978. The MS Italia was built in 1928 and served Home lines from 1948-1964; she was scrapped in 1965. Cosulich Societa Triestina di Navigazione was founded in 1857. Published by Sigla Effe. Good condition, folds, creasing, repaired tears, minor staining.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
