Original vintage advertising poster for an exhibition of artwork by Marc Chagall (1887-1985) at the Kunsthaus gallery in Hamburg from 13 January to 20 February 1966. Great image featuring a painting by Chagall showing a lady with dark hair, red lipstick and bare breasts and a man's face close to her, all mainly in black and white on a blue and white background with shades of red and orange and the text below in black lettering. Very good condition, restored loss and minor tears in top margin, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
