Original vintage London Underground advertising poster - Dogs must be carried - but it's easier to carry a pocket flask of Hennessy cognac brandy - "Is there a Hennessy in the house?" Great image of a man wearing a smart suit and bowler hat with an umbrella over one arm, carrying a large St Bernard dog up an escalator on the Tube, the dog carrying a small barrel of the alcoholic drink labelled Hennessy around his neck, with small Underground adverts running along the wall in the background. Good condition, light staining, repaired tear on top, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
