Original vintage Art Deco pin-up style advertising poster for Kelly Springfield tyres. Fantastic image of a blonde lady wearing a two piece red swimming suit and red lace shoes leaning in front of a car, holding up one arm, with the text "Replace with Kellys" at the top and a Kelly Springfield tyre on the car. The car featured is most likely a Chrysler 77 Model Roadster. Artwork by Knute O. Munson (1900-1967), a classic American pin up artist and photographer who was born in Oslo, Norway and grew up in Sweden but spent most of his life in the United States. From 1945-1949, he worked with Brown & Bigelow, producing paintings and drawings to illustrate their calendars. He then returned to Chicago where he worked as a freelance artist. Very good condition, restored minor loss and tears, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
