Johnnie Walker
Original vintage advertising poster for Johnnie Walker, the world's most widely distributed brand of blended Scotch Whisky. This alcoholic drink was originally sold as Walker's Kilmarnock Whisky by John (Johnnie) Walker in the 1820s, the family's first blend being introduced in 1865 by John's son, Alexander. The iconic Striding Man logo was created by the illustrator, Tom Browne (1870-1910), in 1908. Classic image of the company's Striding Man character wearing a monocle, hat, boots, red jacket and holding a walking cane. Printed in Paris. Excellent condition.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
