Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster for the all-Russian physical culture and sports complex - ГТО Готов к Труду и Обороне / GTO Ready for Labour and Defence (a system for physical education and ranking aimed at the development of mass sports that was introduced on the initiative of the Komsomol / All-Union Leninist Young Communist League in 1931). The poster features a dynamic colourful illustration depicting a young man in a blue tracksuit holding a flag that reads - Все на старты ГТО! / Everyone to GTO start lines! - with various sports on diagonal lines in the background including shot put throwing, rifle gun shooting, cycling, running and cross-country skiing, the caption below reads ГТО - сила, молодость, здоровье / GTO - Strength, Youth, Health with the GTO golden badge of a sprinting silhouette in the top left corner. Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
