Original vintage travel advertising poster: Fly TWA to San Francisco World-Proved Constellations. Stunning artwork depicting a TWA Lockheed Constellation plane flying over the countryside with a burst of sunshine dramatically lighting up the image from behind the clouds and reflecting on the aircraft, the text above with the TWA logo in stylised red and yellow letters and below in white and yellow against the border background. Trans World Airlines was one of the largest American airlines; TWA operated flights from 1926 until 2001, when it was acquired by American Airlines. The Lockheed Constellation ("Connie") was a propeller plane built from 1943-1958 for both military and civilian use. Good condition, restored cracks in the paint and paper, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
