Original vintage music concert advertising poster presenting the August - September 1970 line up at the Fillmore West venue in San Francisco organised by the famous rock music concert promoter Bill Graham (1918-1991). The programme included concerts by big name acts such as The Byrds, Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin and John Lee Hooker and some less well known artists including Polo, Commander Lady, Albert King, Iron Butterfly and Black Oak Arkansas. Fantastic triptych design by David Singer (b 1941) showing a central image of a new born baby lying inside a ancient Roman temple with a lady praying in the background and a dark planet Earth between the columns above, the names of the performers listed on each side with the title above and further event information below in stylised black letters. Original first printing printed in USA by Tea Lautrec, San Francisco. Horizontal. Excellent condition.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
