Original vintage art exhibition poster: Colour / Farbe Ausstellung im Kaiser-Wilhelm-Museum held at the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum in Krefeld Germany from 1-31 May 1928 presenting work by some of the leading contemporary Avant Garde artists of the period including Kandinsky, Delaunay, Braque, Picasso, Thorn-Prikker, Klee and others to support the applied arts and promote the innovative modernist design of the textile industry headquartered in Krefeld at the time. Dynamic artwork by the notable painter and graphic designer Heinrich Campendonk (1889-1957) featuring the text in black and white with a rainbow in yellow, red and blue colours on the left side, the event information below. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
