Chocolat Menier World Tour Map
Original vintage advertising poster featuring a decorative pictorial map for Chocolate Menier (founded 1816; now part of Nestle) by the French cartoonist and illustrator J. B. Jannot (Jan Loup) - Le Tour du Monde en 120 Images Grand Concours du Chocolat Menier / Around the World in 120 Images Grand Concours du Chocolat Menier. Colourful illustrated world map including images of animals, people, landmarks, buildings and trees with inset maps of Israel, India, Tibet and the Belgian Congo, a 16-point compass in the centre and a red line weaving through the continents showing the path of Jacqueline, Menier's imaginary spokesperson, on a world tour beginning and ending in Paris. This promotional poster was used as a game, for which customers could collect game pieces from Menier chocolates for the 120 stops on Jacqueline's journey and add them to the table at the bottom (cut off from this poster). Published by Agence Francaise de Propagande. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, pinholes, light stains, small tears in margin, trimmed on bottom margin.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
